Our Chiropractor

A picture of Dr. Matt Dreadfulwater from The Joint in Arlington, TXDr. Matt Dreadfulwater was born in Claremore, Oklahoma. He graduated from Jenks High School where he played varsity football for three years and won two state titles. He also ran track and field. After graduating, Dr. Matt attended the University of Oklahoma to complete his undergraduate studies. Dr. Matt’s passion for chiropractic care stemmed from the late Dr. Gallagher. Dr. Matt received treatment from Dr. Gallagher when he was ten years old. At that young age, he was inspired by the success stories of the other patients and of Dr. Gallagher’s approach to their well-being. He also loved the way he felt after being adjusted. While attending OU, Dr. Matt shadowed Dr. Gallagher and knew that he was destined to provide chiropractic care.

He then went on to Parker University (formerly Parker College of Chiropractic) and graduated in 2010 with his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He also earned a BS in Anatomy and Health & Wellness while at Parker. In September 2010, Dr. Matt joined Southlake Chiropractic as an associate doctor. In March 2011, he decided to open his own practice at Hands on Health Chiropractic in Grapevine. In September 2013, Dr. Matt will be the Clinic Director at The Joint Arlington Highlands. He is very excited for the opportunity to serve the people of Arlington with routine, affordable chiropractic care. Dr. Matt enjoys adjusting patients, watching football, going to the movies, country music, and spending time with his wife.

A picture of Dr. Lopez from The Joint in Arlington, TXDr. Lopez is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Victory Christian High School in 1991. He began as a personal trainer in 1998 but soon discovered the C.H.E.K. institute in August of 2002. While at the C.H.E.K. institute he studied: corrective exercise, nutrition, lifestyle coaching and golf biomechanics. From there he pursued a complimentary career in the St. John Method of Neuromuscular therapy. This fueled his desire to pursue Chiropractic and to expand on his existing knowledge of functional anatomy and biomechanics.

Dr. Lopez has also played a variety of sports including: soccer, basketball, tennis, racquetball, bodybuilding, skateboarding, and the Oklahoma Scottish Games. At the games, he was awarded the “Best New Athlete Of The Year” by the Oklahoma Scottish Games Organization in 1999. Dr. Lopez currently resides in Irving, TX with his wife of 19 years, Pammi and his 4 kids: Theresa, Natalie, Anthony, and Carina.
