Learn 2 Live Green on April 13th

All-natural Texas kids know that it’s time to learn how to live green, and your family can too! “Learn 2 Live Green” is an exciting community event that will be happening on Saturday, April 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Shops at Legacy. Bring the whole family out and enjoy an entertaining and educational event that will be fun for all ages.

There’ll be lots of different things for everyone to do, including presentations and exhibits on many different environmental topics, demonstrations and workshops, children’s activities including green art, and entertainment for the whole family. Geocaching, the latest craze for the GPS crowd, will even take you on a real life treasure hunt!

The topics covered will include:

  • Simple ways to make your home more energy efficient
  • How using renewable energy benefits us all
  • Ways to “go green” when building and remodeling your home
  • Hybrids and electric transportation
  • Green lifestyles and recreation ideas that will get the whole family excited
  • Where you can purchase or grow your own organic foods
  • Waste reduction and recycling strategies
  • The importance of using reusable, recyclable content and organic products

This is not your ordinary nature show; Learn 2 Live Green will have tons of things for kids to do throughout the whole venue. There will be face painting, nature activities, a meet and greet with Ranger Rick and the Lorax. Your kids will even be able to dig for dinosaurs. There’ll be something for even the toughest to please kids. Learn 2 Live Green isn’t just for kids though. There’ll be DIY workshops on gardening and energy for adults who want to learn how to make their lives and homes greener and more environmentally friendly.

So come out and enjoy a day filled with tips, tricks, education and fun for the whole family next April 13th. You’ll learn all sorts of new things that you can do to improve the health and happiness of your family. You won’t believe how fun it is to do your part for the environment and encourage your kids to do the same.
