There’s Still Time to Sign up for the 2013 ‘Run for Your Lives’

You may think you’re a pretty good runner, but are you good enough to run for your very life? If you’re a fan of physical activity and the undead, time is running out for admission to the original Zombie Infested 5K Obstacle Course Race. A challenge for both the body and the mind that promises to be ghoulishly fun for the entire family!

On June 1st, test your speed, strength, and determination to stay alive as hungry zombies chase you through an obstacle course in the hopes of harvesting your sweet, sweet brains. If you’re able to survive after racing through obstacles both natural and man-made, a sweet zombie after party awaits (Okay, it awaits even if you’re infected), where there’ll be a party as big as all of Texas including live music, a DJ, food and beer.

The Gruesome Facts

While all zombies have already been accounted for, there’s still room for dinner humans over the age of 14 who wish to participate. Runner passes are only $87 from March 16-May 10th and $97 from May 11th-28th. If you don’t relish the idea of having your delicious brains sucked out by the slavering undead, spectator passes are $15 if you purchase them online in advance, and $25 if you buy them at the door. As always, future zombies aged 10 and under can enter for free.

The race will be taking place in South Forney; visit their website at www.runforyourlives.com for directions and information on how to buy tickets, as well as a cool video from previous years’ challenges.

Apocalypse Party

Just because the race is over doesn’t mean the good times have to end. The Apocalypse Party is an all day celebration of zombie survival with music, food, drinks and games. You don’t have to be a part of the race to party down; a spectator pass will get you into the hottest party of the summer. There will be contests including a hula hoop competition, a Run For Your Lives dance off, musical chairs, rap contests and even a costume contest.

So come on down to the hottest party this side of the cemetery. It’s a great way to get out of the house, move your body and meet some great people who love to have a good time. But remember, time is short and space is limited. Visit their website now so you can ensure your space on June 1st.
