The Neon Splash Dash is a 5k (3.1 mile) event where you run through a variety of Glow Zones, where they’re sprayed with a variety of U.V. glow waters in super intense colors while blasting heart-pounding music to keep your energy up. It’s a messy, wild and incredibly fun way to support a great cause, and it’s coming to Dallas on September 21st.
Runners, walkers and even dancers are welcome to come on out Saturday, September 21st. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the race begins at 8:00 p.m. Admission is $60 on the day of the race, and includes a whole lot of swag like:
- An entry for one into the Brightest Night Time running event.
- A donation to the designated charity partner.
- A fun temporary tattoo.
- A runner’s bib for you to take home.
- One limited edition T-shirt
- Entry to the After Glow Party following the race.
This year’s charity partner is Mended Hearts. For more than six decades, the folks at Mended Hearts have been offering encouragement and hope to heart patients, as well as their families and caregivers. This support group aims to show heart disease patients that they can still live a rich and rewarding life, even after a diagnosis of heart disease. Volunteers offer phone, online and face-to-face support for heart patients and those who love them in order to “inspire hope in heart disease patients and their families.”
The After Glow Party
So save the date and plan to come on down to the Texas Rangers Ballpark to enjoy a great time and support a great charity. All participants are welcomed, but you’ll want to leave your pets at home. You’ll want to wear a solid white or decorated team shirt, or change into a participant T-shirt before the race. You don’t have to be an athlete to join in on the fun. This is a simple run that you can walk, run or dance through. Even if you choose to run along the trail, you’ll probably want to slow down while you go through the Glow Zones to get the messiest experience possible.
Once the 5k is completed, the real fun begins at the After Glow Party. Suitable for all ages, the party will be jumping with a Top DJ who will be spinning lively music you can dance to.
Between the run, dancing and the charity, you’ll be doing your heart and others a great service. So, don’t forget to clear your calendar and head on down to the Rangers ballpark on Saturday, September 21st. There are a whole lot of hearts counting on you.
