Morning Smoothies That Are as Delicious as They Are Simple

One of the most common questions that I get about wellness is “What is the simplest way that I can become healthier?” While I frequently caution that there’s no fast and easy way toward healthiness, I do have a few suggestions for people who aren’t ready to embrace an overall lifestyle change.

My number one suggestion for anyone looking to become healthier is to quit smoking. Without a doubt, giving up cigarettes is the most important thing that you can do for your body. If you’re already a nonsmoker, then my suggestion is to embrace the wonderful world of the smoothie.

Smoothies are a great way to get your day started off on the healthiest foot possible. They’re simple to make, quick to prepare, easy to take on the road and they’re a great way to get started on your daily fruit and vegetable budget.

If you’re new to the smoothie lifestyle, then why not consider investing in a quality blender and whipping up one of the following tasty treats for breakfast tomorrow? They’re all simple to make; just dump the following ingredients into your blender and then drink in the goodness.

The video above shows you how to make Dr. Oz’s Green Smoothie. In my opinion, this is the best and healthiest smoothie around. However, you need not start your day off with the exact same smoothie every day. Mix things up with the following recipes.

Smoothie Recipes

Green Smoothie:

  • 1 Cup cucumber slicessmoothie
  • 1 Cup spinach
  • ½ Cup Greek yogurt
  • ½ Cup orange juice
  • 1 kiwi
  • ½ avocado, pitted and peeled
  • ¼ Cup mint leaves

Green Tea Smoothie:

  • 1 banana
  • ½ honeydew melon, cut into chunks
  • ¼ Cup almond milk
  • ¾ Cup brewed green tea (double strength)
  • 1 tsp. honey

Gingery Berry and Oat Smoothie:

  • ½ Cup blueberries
  • ½ Cup low-fat yogurt, plain
  • ½ Cup ice
  • ¼ Cup rolled oats
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. fresh ginger, grated

One of the best things about smoothies is that you can play around with making your own recipes without spending a lot of time or effort. You can find recipes on the internet or you can purchase a cookbook to help you in your smoothie making. However, one of the best ways to make a smoothie is to just use what you’ve got on hand. Make a habit out of visiting the farmers’ market and then stocking up on what’s in season. You can then experiment with your purchases in your kitchen until you find what works for you.

Incorporating smoothies into your life is a great way to make a healthy change without a lot of effort. Another great way is to schedule regular visits to your chiropractor’s office. Your chiropractic team will help your body tap into its own natural healing process, which means that you’ll be able to enjoy a sense of wellness for many years to come.
